EMDR Intensive Therapy
EMDR intensives offer busy people the support and help they need right now. Because of the powerful healing effect of EMDR therapy, intensives can produce faster results. An intensive involves 2 to 3 hour sessions over 1 to 4 days Rather than dealing with things on a weekly basis over an extended period of time, you can often work through many issues intensively and fast track the healing and relief you seek as you look to move forward with your life.
Why take months or even years when it can take days.
Why chose an EMDR Intensive?
Perhaps you’ve felt that something profound has yet to change, but you’re not quite sure how to shift into a new experience of yourself with your current therapist. Maybe you now cognitively understand new things, yet your body is still confused.
Perhaps you’ve been meaning to get into weekly therapy for a while now. Still, your schedule has been so hectic and demanding that a weekly therapy appointment feels more overwhelming than supportive.
Perhaps you need help — and a lot of it — right now, and you don’t want to spend months in the traditional weekly therapy treatment model to feel better.
EMDR intensives support the busy parent with kids, the working professional with more on their plate, or the client who needs help now. Whatever the reason that weekly sessions won’t work for you, an EMDR intensive can support you when you need help.
EMDR is not just for trauma; it is also used for anxiety, relationship triggers, performance enhancements and other challenges.
EMDR Intensive Therapy Includes:
Consultation interview prior to scheduling to assess for candidacy and the number of days recommended for your intensive. Consultations are not therapy; they are designed to explore your intensive therapy needs.
A customized treatment program with targeted treatment goals.
Personalized treatment workbook, which allows you to work on your treatment goals before, during, and after our intensive sessions.
A dedicated time and place on the Big Island of Hawaii, allowing you to step out of your day-to-day and prioritize healing and growth.
Wellness add-on options. My healing approach is holistic, integrating the mind and body. Clients have an option to add a massage or a yoga session to their intensive program.
A post-treatment follow-up to assess and support the positive changes from treatment and to determine continued care needs if any a month out from the intensive.
